How We Celebrated Five Years of Returning Point

Our winter gathering, held on Thursday, December 4th at Svemirski Ranččč by Infinity Lighthouse, brought together our largest audience to date as we celebrated five years of Returning Point. Uroš Živković, Director of Returning Point, and Vanja Marinović, one of the founders, opened the evening by sharing their reflections on the community’s growth and the values that have shaped the organization over the years.

We were also joined by psychologist Jelena Šljivar, who shared her story of living between two continents and spoke about the importance of the support returnees receive during the period of readjustment. Her perspective further highlighted the themes that bring us together: belonging, return, and connection.

Throughout the evening, we premiered the video “Five Years of Circulating”, dedicated to the individuals whose stories build bridges between “here” and “there.” Through short conversations with returnees and circular migrants from our community, the video sheds light on what movement, belonging, and a sense of community mean to them, even across physical distance.
