About Us
Returning Point was founded in 2020 with the goal of providing comprehensive support to Serbian returnees, whether they are returning to the country, starting a business venture, or pursuing a scientific or professional career.
Our role is to facilitate returnees’ connections with Serbia, help establish cooperation with local talents and initiatives, and improve the communication between the Serbian society abroad and at home.
Our organisation offers specific assistance to returnees, including advice on business and employment, resolving administrative issues upon return, and help with finding housing and educational opportunities.
We also organise networking and mentoring events to help returnees integrate into Serbian society and build professional and social connections.
Our efforts are aimed at building communities that help returnees smoothly transition and thrive in a country they may feel unfamiliar with due to the years spent abroad.
Over the years, our focus has evolved: we started with helping the Serbian diaspora, then we expanded our focus to returnees and all aspects of their return, and more recently, we included activities that support circular migration. Now, in addition to supporting returnees, we also assist those who are leaving, particularly for studies, with the goal of facilitating their return.
Returning Point is a unique organisation that not only addresses the needs of returnees but also actively supports circular migration and the integration of Serbian talents, making it distinctive in its mission and approach. Its founders are “Serbian Entrepreneurs” and the Science Technology Park Belgrade, with support from the “Serbia Creates” platform.

Mission
Our mission is to strengthen connections between the diaspora and Serbia, as well as among returnees and circular migrants, through networking and collaborative projects. By actively engaging in communication and partnership-building, we aim to connect highly skilled individuals and organisations with local partners, easing their integration and enabling them to contribute to the development of Serbian society.
Vision
Our vision is a vibrant and open Serbian society built on the exchange of knowledge and experience. We aim to create a platform that promotes two-way communication, fosters the exchange of ideas and innovations, and supports the development of communities that drive Serbia’s cultural, scientific, and economic progress.
Goals
Mapping and Information: We identify highly skilled individuals and organisations and work to enhance communication between Serbia and this target group. We provide information on opportunities for return and collaboration, ensuring a clear understanding of returnees’ needs to facilitate their integration.
Networking: We connect local public and private sector partners with returnees and circular migrants through programs that prioritise collaboration and innovation. By building a strong network of returnees and circular migrants, we encourage joint initiatives that contribute to the growth and progress of Serbian society.
Regulations: We identify regulatory barriers to return and collaborate with diaspora and returnees, aiming to formulate amendments to existing legal frameworks.
We influence policy changes related to return and cooperation with Serbia, actively working with the public and private sectors to launch necessary incentives for returnees.
Promotion: We highlight examples of successful returnees and circular migrants who have contributed to the development of Serbian society, science, and economy through collaboration with local talents and initiatives.
Social Support: We provide assistance in societal adaptation, helping returnees and circular migrants overcome the challenges related to return or migration, and integration into the Serbian community.
Community Development: We actively work on creating and strengthening communities that connect returnees, circular migrants, and local residents, fostering mutual support, cooperation, and the development of joint projects and initiatives.
