About Us
Returning Point began its work in 2020 with the goal of providing comprehensive support to Serbian circular migrants, whether they are returning to the country, starting a business, or pursuing academic and professional careers.
From the very beginning, our mission has been to make migration a two-way process — one in which people leave, return, stay connected, and contribute to the development of communities in Serbia.
Today, beyond supporting returnees, Returning Point serves as a platform that promotes circular migration as a driver of local development. Through programs, partnerships, and support for returnees, the diaspora, and local communities, we encourage the circulation of people, knowledge, and ideas, working toward the recognition of circular migration as a modern way of life.
Our goal is to enable everyone to contribute — in their own way, in their own time, and from their own perspective — to the development of local society and talent.
Our role is to connect people and institutions, initiate collaborations, and create space for return, connection, and contribution; overcoming challenges and focusing on the potential that migration brings.
We build networks of exchange, based on trust, that allow knowledge, resources, and ideas to flow freely between Serbia and the world.

Our Role
Returning Point connects society, communities, and individuals, supporting returnees and the diaspora through:
- Mapping and information – we identify highly skilled individuals and organizations, enhance communication between Serbia and the diaspora, provide information on opportunities for return and cooperation, and facilitate the integration process.
- Networking and community development – we connect local partners from the public and private sectors with returnees and circular migrants through programs focused on collaboration and innovation. We actively work on building and strengthening these communities.
- Public policy reform – we identify regulatory barriers to return and cooperation with the diaspora and returnees, and work on formulating changes to existing legal frameworks.
- Communication and support – we highlight successful stories of circular migrants who have contributed to the development of society, science, and the economy, and provide assistance in social adaptation and community integration.
