Six months after the first series of workshops within the Umrežene project, participants and mentors reunited for a special gathering held as part of the Festival of Alternative Fashion, organized by Katarina Ejdus and Nataša Niškanović – returnees and members of our returnee community.
The event was organized by Returning Point (Tačka povratka) as part of the Umrežene project, with the goal of continuing support and networking for women in entrepreneurship. Mila Tričković from Returning Point, who leads the Umrežene project, attended the event, while Luka Milovanović accepted a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the organization.
The event had several key goals: reconnecting participants and mentors, exchanging experiences and ideas, empowering through mutual support, and networking with potential new participants. Special attention was given to mapping participants’ needs through one-on-one conversations, which allowed for a deeper understanding of their current challenges and expectations.
This gathering provided an opportunity for entrepreneurs and returnees to share their current experiences and reflect on past challenges and achievements. Conversations took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with about ten participants, mentors, and a representative from Returning Point present.
Through one-on-one conversations with creatives from different parts of Serbia, key needs and directions for support were identified that could further strengthen their businesses. Participants shared new ideas and plans, such as developing new collections, creating business plans, forming associations, opening retail spaces, and employing other women.
This meeting served not only as a snapshot of their current entrepreneurial efforts, but also as a launchpad for future workshops and initiatives that will continue to strengthen the community and support women’s entrepreneurship.
The Umrežene project was created out of a desire to connect women with international experience and those just starting their entrepreneurial journeys in Serbia. Through mutual support, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, we are building a community of empowered women who create new opportunities and make a meaningful contribution to women’s entrepreneurship in Serbia and the region.
