Through the “Umrežene” project, our goal was to create a space where women entrepreneurs can connect, inspire one another, and gain concrete tools to develop their business ventures. In collaboration with experts who have achieved success through their international experience, we organized a series of workshops that have become a true center of support for women who want to enhance or start their entrepreneurial journeys.
During an intense but inspiring weekend, we brought together 23 entrepreneurs from all parts of Serbia and 11 mentors who enthusiastically shared their knowledge. Through 8 workshops, key topics were covered: from the importance of intellectual property to financial management, digital marketing, sales strategies, and mental health – all of which are essential for the success of every entrepreneur.
However, the primary goal of these workshops was not only to share knowledge but to create a community where entrepreneurs support, help, and inspire each other. By connecting with returnee women who have gained valuable experience through their international business ventures, we are creating a powerful network that can provide concrete advice as well as motivation.
Through topics such as: Collaboration and Networking, Presentation and Creativity, Legal Aspects of Business, Finance in Entrepreneurship, Sales Strategies, Marketing in the Digital Age, and Mental Health – Setting Boundaries, participants had the opportunity not only to expand their knowledge but also to empower themselves to recognize the value of their work and their brand.
The atmosphere during the workshops was exceptional – from the very first day, participants were open, eager to share their experiences and challenges, and ready to support and motivate one another. As the participants themselves shared:
- “The most important and beautiful thing about this workshop is the feeling that we are not alone on our journey. All dilemmas can be solved because we have someone to ask. Quality communication, good lecturers, and excellent organization are always a winning combination.”
- “The most valuable thing for me was realizing that other entrepreneurs feel the same way I do, that we share the same fears, thoughts, and challenges, and that there are people, associations, and organizations that want and can help us.”
- “It’s difficult for me to pick just one takeaway because everything was very comprehensive. The most important conclusion I’m taking with me is the logical sequence that helped me identify areas of my business that I need to focus on and improve. It gives me a clear picture of the next steps.”
- “These workshops helped me better value my work and clearly define the value of my brand. I also realized how important it is to protect intellectual property and set boundaries in business.”
A big thank you to all our wonderful mentors who generously shared their knowledge with the participants: Una Stupar Jokić, Madlena Dašić, Blanka Šupe, Andrea Radonjanin, Aleksandra Beočanin, Tamara Gerdijan, Isidora Živić, Aleksandra Bobić. We also thank Dragana Jovčić, Dijana Kočić, and Katarina Ejdus, whose presence and support enriched the workshops, helping to create an even stronger network of mutual support.
In the upcoming phases, the “Umrežene” project will continue to develop, expanding the thematic areas covered, including specific challenges that women face. However, our main goal remains the same – connecting returnee women with local women, who support, inspire, and help each other in their further professional development.
